- Confirm your Jane plan is Thrive for automatic email reminders. On Practice plan, reminders are manual (you send them yourself from the reminders list).
- Go to Settings → Reminders & Notifications and confirm "Return Visit Reminders" is enabled.
- These steps are done per patient, per appointment — not as a global setting.
- Jane will not send the reminder if the patient already has a future appointment booked — so there is no risk of double-messaging.

Daily reminders checklist for front desk
- Every patient who completes a treatment today gets a Return Visit Reminder added before they leave.
- Check the Reminders list (schedule page → Reminders button) each morning for any manual reminders due today.
- Check the Return Visit Reminders Report (Reports menu) weekly for any patients overdue who haven't booked.
- If a patient books at checkout, skip the reminder — Jane will flag it as already booked.
- If a patient requests a different interval than the default, always ask Dr. Mehta before adjusting.
